President's Message

A joyous and well-attended lunch gathering was held on May 6, 2006 to celebrate St Mark's Day. This year, instead of having a church service, Rev. Kenneth Fung gave us an in-depth study of St Mark the author of the 2nd gospel in the Bible. We were pleased and excited at seeing so many new faces, which was rare in past events. Pamela Maak and Kevin Chan of class '81 discovered the alumni association through our TV ad and came to check out our event for the first time. The continued growth of the St Mark's alumni family is truly the main objective of the association.

Thanks to Principal Mau who agreed to be interviewed by Tom Ng while he was in Hong Kong visiting the Alma Mater. Hope you will enjoy this interesting piece of interview in this issue of our newsletter.

It is a "must" to visit our newly constructed website. It is designed to be more user friendly and informative. Hope you will be visiting it often and give us your feedback. The committee members are working very hard to prepare the next BBQ picnic, which will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2006. If you missed our picnic last year and heard about the yummy gourmet menu we served, register early this year, come and experience it yourself. Please also mark your calendar for the Christmas/AGM Party which is going to be held on December 1, 2006. Did you win the Carol Contest last year? Try harder this year! Promise you that it will be fun.

I want to give a big applause to all the alumni who worked so hard in organizing these events and even a bigger applause to the attendants. Thank you for your participation.

Wish you all a good summer
