The
Attitude Story

A
friend of mine sent me a email forwarding the story :
"There
once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror, and
noticed she had only
three hairs on her head.
Well," she said,
"I think I'll braid my hair today?"
So she did and she had a
wonderful day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only
two hairs on her head
"H-M-M," she
said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle
today?" So she did
and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and noticed that she had
only one hair on her head.
"Well," she
said, "today I'm going to wear my
hair in a pony
tail." So she did and she had a fun day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and noticed that there
wasn't a single hair on her head.
"YEA!" she
exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"
Attitude is everything.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to
dance in the rain."
It is
really encouraging and also good for my next sermon. I wish
I can have this kind of attitude, so I make up a story myself :
I have
three dollars. My wife asks "Why don't you give me some
money?" I give her one dollar and I feel great because
I am able to keep the "sharing" spirit. Then my
wife asks again "How come you have more money than I
do?" So I give her my second dollar. I feel fantastic
because I am married to a wife who is richer than I
am. Then my wife tells me "You can't do anything
with only one dollar. Since I have more money, you've better give me yours. I
am a better consumer,
and putting the three dollars together, I know
what to buy
for you than yourself." After I give her my
third dollar, I can't stop myself from laughing because
of my wisdom -- from now on, I wouldn't have any headache
of not knowing what to buy for her. She has to buy everything for me.
Now folks -- tell me if that is the attitude of the St. Mark's Spirit.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR !
